The year 1963 brought about two great lines of chronographs – from Rolex, the Cosmograph Daytona, and from Heuer, the Carrera. While both companies were early to experiment with their racing watches in the 1960s, Rolex focused on waterproofness and Heuer focused on practicality and legibility. This 3147S is the second generation Carrera with Date (the first generation put the date window just below 12 o'clock, whereas the second generation placed it at nine o'clock), and its off-center “cyclops” dial has long fascinated collectors.

This was a self initiated project I did as a part of materials, light and modelling techniques study using Cinema 4D and Redshift.
